How to use this tool
Choose Record attempt 1 and allow microphone access in your browser. Speak, then stop and listen. Pick one change, such as stating the point first or pausing between ideas, and record attempt 2. Compare the playback and reflect on the difference. Download either recording if you want to keep it.
Where does the audio go?
Recordings stay in this page’s memory and are never uploaded by this tool. Leaving the page, reloading, or deleting an attempt releases the audio. Download explicitly saves a copy through your browser. Downloaded copies remain on your device until you delete them yourself.
Does it transcribe, score, or calculate WPM?
No. It records, replays, and compares elapsed durations only. It does not understand what you said, count spoken words, or rate quality. The checklist is your own reflection. A shorter recording is not automatically a better answer.
What happens when I switch tabs or re-record?
Switching away stops active recording and releases the microphone. Returning lets you listen if you stayed on this page. Re-recording replaces that attempt only after a new recording is captured successfully. Each attempt is limited to two minutes and 10 MB. Download important recordings before leaving the page.
Why is recording unavailable?
Your browser needs microphone access and support for local audio recording. If access was denied, check the site permission in your browser and try again. Another app may also be using the microphone. The speaking timer is available without microphone access.
